Infra-Red

Infra-red transmission systems have many uses and allow for personal listening through either stethoset earpieces, headphones or via a neckloop for the hearing impaired through there own standard hearing aid.

One of the advantages of audio signal transmission by means of infra-red light is that up to 32 channels can be used, for instance in convention centres, theatres or churches, where different languages have to be supported. Another major area of application is the support for the hearing impaired, who receive the audio signal adapted to their hearing aid via a neckloop.

Infra-red is ideal when used for confidential meeting areas, unlike induction loop systems no overspill will be radiated outside the room covered by the system. In general, infra-red transmission offers well-designed products with a good price/performance ratio and advantages in signal transmission security.
